As travel starts to increase around the state of Texas in 2022, we wanted to put together a list of all the fun things visitors can experience in Alvin.
Alvin Music Festival

The 2022, Alvin Music Festival and Cook-Off will be happening April 1-3 at Bob Briscoe Park. This festival has hosted the likes of Gary P. With a variety of food trucks as well as welcoming BBQ Cook-off teams, no one should leave hungry. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the cool gulf coast evenings while listening to your favorite band.
Tour de Braz
April 9th, 2022
The 29th Annual Tour de Braz Bike Ride will be held Saturday, April 9th, 2022. The ride starts at Alvin Community College and tours through the beautiful Brazoria County Countryside. This year’s proceeds will benefit the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department. Tour de Braz is the perfect ride for the whole family and is open to all experience levels. We are offering 34, 50, 65, and 100-mile routes!
About 500 riders attended this event while training for the MS 150 each year. There are rest stops every 10 miles offering snacks, drinks, and areas to check your bike. Plus each rider is guaranteed a t-shirt and meal from Chick-fil-a at the end of the ride.
Alvin Frontier Days
April 29th- 30th, 2022
The Alvin Rotary Club is preparing to celebrate Alvin Frontier Days on Saturday, April 30, 2022 .
They kick off the weekend with an old-fashioned “Barn Dance” on Friday night at Scopel Square across from the carnival, which is running from Thursday through Saturday at Stanton’s parking lot. The barn dance will have food, beer, and live music by Rush Creek Band.
Saturday morning at 9am begins the Frontier Day Parade through the old downtown area of Alvin. Last year, there were over 200 entries in the parade, and it appears there will be even more this year. An estimated 20,000 people watched last year’s parade, and this year’s crowd is expected to be even greater. Frontier Day is a tradition in Alvin, and it is good family-style entertainment enjoyed by visitors from surrounding communities.
Later in the day at National Oak Park, there will be a car and bike show, vendors, food, and fun activities for the whole family. The Alvin Rotary Club Gunfighters perform their popular shootout twice during the day. Frontier Day brings many people to downtown Alvin and most return year after year to enjoy the entertainment and full day of activities.
Froberg Fall Festival
End of September to beginning of November
Enjoy the fall weather at Froberg’s Farm Fall Festival. You can choose the very best Halloween pumpkin at the patch while grabbing some great family photos. Test your luck trying to find your way through the strategic Corn Maze. Pick some beautiful Sunflowers at the Flower Garden!
Families can also have the Mining Sluice (from Froberg’s Mining Co.), which is a water tower that releases water down a trough (chute), allowing you to sift through dirt which you may uncover to reveal treasures! Just like the gold miners of old!
Kids can also take a ride on the Bee Coaster, which is like a rollercoaster without all the danger. A tractor pulls the “bee barrels” around and is fun for all ages. Berry Fun Land, which is a playground built by the Froberg family for any children who want to play at the farm. Berry Fun Land includes swings, a Berry Glider, Fort Berry, Swings, Pony Hops, Tire Mountain, Giant Chair, Fruit Chute and the Corn Box.
All of these attractions will be ready for our customers every weekend beginning September 25, 2022 and will end November 7, 2022.
