Froberg’s Farm is famous for their strawberry picking in the Spring. But, did you know they also grow all sorts of other fruits and vegetables during the summer? Head on over to the farm and you may just come home with fresh blackberries, tomatoes, and a bouquet of flowers. Don’t forget to check out their website for more information.

Bayou Wildlife Zoo is now open and has made some really big improvements. The Zoo is offering guided 30 to 40 minute tram rides that allow you to see all types of animals. Just a little preview of what’s new: a natural habitat where you can mingle with animals, a monkey island, and three alligator ponds.

Did you know that the only disc golf course in the nation with specifically purposed lighting is right here in Alvin? The newly opened disc golf course, located at Bob Briscoe Park, features 18-holes with baskets, tee boxes, and decorative pavers. Come out and play with family and friends; this challenging course will get you loving the game of disc golf.

Want to get some fresh air, stretch your legs or take your bike out for a ride? Then head to the Tom Blakeney Jr Hike & Bike Trail. The trail begins at the Alvin Historic Depot Centre (awesome photo opp). Enjoy the view and be sure to go over the iconic bridge, it’s truly a site to see.

Bob S. Owen Pool is open for the season and offering daily admission, as well as, pool passes for the entire summer. The pool features 3 tube slides, 3 shade pavilions, restroom facility, drinking fountains, a zero-depth spray park, and decking to enjoy the sun.
