With so much holiday fun to be had in Alvin, we decided to put together a list of all the fun events happening this holiday season! Alvin has everything from pictures with Santa to cutting down your own Christmas tree this year. The holiday fun possibilities are endless!
Froberg’s Christmas Tree Farm | @FrobergFarm
Make lasting family memories while picking out the biggest and greenest Christmas Tree at Froberg’s Christmas Tree Farm!
Choose and cut your Christmas tree with the help of the knowledgeable workers at Froberg’s. They offer three varieties of trees, and all of these trees are hypoallergenic. That’s right, folks! You can revel in the charm of a live Christmas tree without worrying about those pesky allergies. The scent of pine and the joy of the season, all without the sneezing – it’s a win-win. They also offer a pre-cut tree section.
The tree options range from four feet to a towering twelve feet, with prices as friendly as your Texan neighbor. Plan your budget between $40.00 to $120.00, and if you need a stand to prop up your festive fir, they’ve got you covered for an additional cost.
After the hard work of picking the perfect tree, venture over to Froberg’s Christmas store. Decked out with goodies, souvenir ornaments, and unique gifts, it’s a one-stop shop to sprinkle a little extra holiday magic into your festivities.
Don’t let the holiday joy slip away – Froberg’s Christmas Tree Farm is calling!
Located at HWY 6 and CR 146, this Texan treasure trove is open from November 24th to December 19th. Drop by Monday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, or make it a weekend affair on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Trust us, the memories you make at Froberg’s will be as grand as the Lone Star State itself. So, grab your loved ones and let the Christmas festivities begin!
Home for Holidays |@alvinparksandrecreation
The Home for the Holidays event kicks off December 7th at 10:00 am and keeps the festive vibes going until 6:00 pm at National Oak Park. Mark your calendars, round up the family, and get ready for a day filled with holiday magic that will warm your heart and make memories to last a lifetime.
Take time to explore a variety of vendors offering unique Christmas gifts you won’t find in your average store. It’s the perfect opportunity to snag something special for your loved ones (or yourself – we won’t tell!). Plus, there is SNOW much fun for the whole family! Your little ones will be on cloud nine with holiday-themed activities like a Santa bounce house and a snow slide. Also, take some time to indulge in a variety of food trucks that will be at Home for the Holidays.
If that’s not enough to get you in the holiday spirit, stay into the evening for the light parade! Watch in awe as the streets come alive with a dazzling display of twinkling lights, festive floats, and the undeniable energy of the season.
We can’t think of a better way to get into the holiday than the 14th annual Home for the Holidays event!
Christmas Train| @thechristmastrain
Each Christmas season hundreds of volunteers from Living Stones Church come together to set up and host the Christmas Train at Victory Camp in Alvin. The event began back in 2000, and over the years has quickly become one of the Houston area’s favorite Christmas events. The train is open to the public and all ages are welcome.
The Christmas Train is a unique train ride experience through hundreds of thousands of lights and Christmas displays. Your whole family can enjoy an old-fashioned train ride on our open-air coaches while experiencing hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights and displays. You can even race your friends around the go-kart track for loads of lightning-fast fun. A great activity for anyone 52″ and up. The track allows up to 8 go-kart riders at once.
Come out and enjoy the best homemade deep-dish pizza around at Big Al’s Pizza at the Christmas Train. Enjoy this fantastic food in the dining room or take advantage of the picnic tables on the deck overlooking the lake and surrounded by sparkling lights.
You can also enjoy fresh coffee or hot cocoa at the Java coffee shop. Java also serves cookies, popcorn, cotton candy, and other fun foods are available.
